Plant Basket

Bolga baskets are one of the most well-known products of Ghana. They are traditionally and ethically handwoven by a cooperarive of male and female artisans in the remote region of Bolgatanga.

Each basket undergoes several production steps and it can take a few days to be completed. Baskets are eco-friendly as sundried elephant grass is used for weaving. To add colors to baskets, weavers use plants and non-toxic fabric dyes.

Note: Due to the handwoven nature of Bolga baskets, expect some variation in size, colors and shape.
